How To Bring To Life
~ All of our nylon hanging decor can either be hung from the ceiling or attached to the walls ~
|
Unpacking Your Items |
Our hanging nylon decor items come brand new and packed in a protective bag. During shipment your items are shipped flat, and once they get to their new home, you will have to "bring them to life" by slightly bending the soft wire frame of the wings or petals. We also have found that if you slightly bend the wire frame on the butterflies and dragonflies into a slight upward shape it allows them to hang nicely to add the perfect touch.

Hanging Your Items |
Most of our nylon items come with fishing line and hoop already attached for easy hanging. Some of them hang vertically while other styles hang horizontally. If you want to add more fishing line to your nylon items, you can easily add some by poking the nylon fishing line through the fabric on the outer edge of one wing or petal and tie a small double knot. With the other end of the string, repeat on the opposite wing or petal and then hang these for all to enjoy. If you wish to extend the existing fishing line to hang it lower, simply add extra fishing line to the top nylon thread or hoop.

Attaching Your Items To The Ceiling |
If you are going to hang these from the ceiling, you can easily use the fishing line to attach to a tack, small nail, or eyelet screw hoop; or you can even remove the hoop and use a staple gun or heavy duty double sided tape to make these look like they are "flying" around the room. If you wish to extend the fishing line or add various heights, simply add extra fishing line to the top nylon thread or hoop.

Attaching Your Items To The Wall |
If you are going to attach these to the walls, you can easily use the remove the attached fishing line and instead you can use a tack, small nail, sticky wax, brad, staple gun, or even double sided tape hidden behind the item to make it look like it "landed" on the wall. To remove the attached fishing line, simply cut the knot where it is attached to the bug, being very careful not to cut the nylon, and pull the free end to completely remove.

Hanging Your Mobiles |
To hang the mobiles, remove the staples carefully from the cardboard packaging without forcefully pulling. Untangle the bugs one by one carefully. To balance the mobile, try to move the fishing line string to the left or right along the silver wire slowly. On the bugs, bend the edges of the wings slightly downward to keep them parallel to the ground and then be captivated by their subtle movements. If you wish to extend the fishing line to hang it lower, simply add extra fishing line to the top nylon thread or hoop.

Hanging Your Alphabet & Wall Stickers |
When applying your wall & letter stickers, please do not touch the back of the sticker as much as possible it may cause them to not stick from the oils in your fingers. For best results apply to a smooth, clean, flat surface that does not get direct sunlight and air/heater vent exposure. First lightly stick the letters to the wall and once you have chosen the location for the stickers, be sure and firmly press down the letters making sure they stay in place especially around the edges. Please do not use any water or wallpaper scraping tools as that will damage the letters. For best results wall paint should either be "flat" or "satin" as other shiny paints ("semi-gloss" or "high-gloss") may cause stickers not to adhere properly. High humidity locations or even bathrooms that receive a lot of moisture may cause the stickers not to adhere properly also. Unfortunately due to the delicate nature of the stickers, please note refunds or exchanges are not accepted; see click here to see our return policy for more information. |

Hanging Your Curtain Tiebacks |
To hang the beautiful curtain tie backs, use the bendable and adjustable wires to wrap around your curtains and display the pretty bug and ribbons in the front of the curtain. The wires can be cut to any size you need with easy by simply cutting the excess wire with shears or pliers. If you would like to attach the curtain tiebacks to the walls behind your curtains, simply twist the wire around the nail head and hammer into the wall. We suggest attaching the wires to the walls if you have sheer or thin curtains that way the weight of the tieback does not slide.
