With summer right around the corner, it’s understandable that you want to spruce up your garden. After all, if you’re going to be spending more time outdoors having barbecues or just lounging on the patio, you’ll need to add a few decorative touches to bring your backyard up to speed with your style.
To accomplish this, consider looking into butterfly decorations. First of all, what says summer better than butterfly-themed decorations like wind chimes, bird feeders or even thermometers? Second, butterfly decorations match the natural beauty of your backyard perfectly. You don’t want overpowering décor on your patio or deck; rather, you need something simple and subtle that harmonizes with the beauty of nature, not shouts it down.
Likewise, butterfly decorations can make you feel relaxed when you’re lounging outdoors. All you need to do is lay back on a chair and watch a hanging butterfly decoration spin around in the breeze. Your troubles will melt away and you’ll feel at peace. And honestly, in this day and age where everything is all rush, all the time, it’s good to put your feet up, take a load off and just take time to breathe once in a while.
You may also wish to consider using butterfly decorations in your garden. Wooden butterflies can add a sweet touch when placed in your flowerbeds. You may even be able to find a sign that keeps with the butterfly theme while making your garden all the more welcoming.
Whether you want to mellow out your backyard or add a touch of whimsy to your garden, butterfly decorations will meet your needs. It’s a simple addition, but it will make all the difference.

What could be more beautiful and feminine than a butterfly? Their graceful nature and pretty colors make butterflies one of the most special motifs to use for a wedding. These are some marvelous butterfly decorations which would add a touch of whimsy to any wedding.
The neat thing about using butterflies as a wedding decoration is that they are small and pretty. They can be used sparingly for one or two surprise details, or as a unifying theme throughout your wedding. A lovely place to begin is with wedding stationery which is either stamped or embossed with a butterfly in flight. It would look lovely done in a either dark pink or purple against a paper in a paler shade of the same color for a soft tonal effect.
All little girls love butterflies, so if you use butterflies in only one part of your wedding, let it be the flower girl’s attire. Start with butterfly motif flower girl jewelry. A dainty pendant featuring a sparkling crystal butterfly would be the ideal jewelry gift for a flower girl of any age. Next, there is her dress. A white organza flower girl dress can be embellished by stitching on small lace appliques in the shape of butterflies. Let them be more heavy near the hem of the gown, and scattered more lightly towards the top of the dress so it looks like they are taking flight. If you really want to go all out with the theme, use a flower girl dress in a solid color organza, and let your little one prance down the aisle wearing a set of beautiful butterfly wings.
Butterflies and flowers go hand in hand, so the wedding flowers would be a natural next place to decorate with butterflies. Colorful mixed bouquets would be even more special with a few butterflies on long wires tucked in between the flowers so they appear to be perched on the blossoms. Choose from silk, feather, or even enamel butterflies in an array of colors. To make a very bold statement, create a bridal bouquet entirely out of feather and silk butterflies, formed into a nosegay shape. If this feels like too much of a good thing for the bride, a scaled down version would be absolutely adorable for the flower girl and junior bridesmaids.
Rather than the standard white place cards, why not use die cut butterfly cards to graciously welcome guests to their seats at the reception? Simply pen the name of each guest onto a piece of heavy card stock in a butterfly shape, cut a slit into it, and perch it gracefully onto the rim of a wineglass at each place setting. As a great tie in, the same shaped paper could be used for the escort cards. Create a butterfly tree with the name and table numbers suspended from branches. This would be an equally lovely idea for an indoor or an outdoor reception.
The final wedding element to decorate with butterflies is the wedding cake. A scattering of the graceful winged creatures going up the tiers of the cake would be a gorgeous sweet ending to any wedding. The butterfly theme is so elegant and whimsical that it is sure to add a touch of magic to your wedding.

Newborn photography usually brings the words fragile, family memories, and innocence to mind. Since newborns do not move much in their first few months, we must consider a these 3 things:
1. Pose Them!
Newborns do not pose, they somewhat just sleep most of the time. So you need to do most of the posing for them. You can tell the difference between the image above and this next image. Notice how they are both bird’s eye view portraits, however, the poses do make a difference in the feel of the images.
2. Keep on shooting!
This works best if time is an issue and if parents do not mind that you continue shooting. Newborns tend to have their own timetable and needs. During this photo shoot, the newborn wanted to feed and in this case I threw a black sheet over mom and baby and with the help of a pillow and mom’s sister we managed to snap a few pics of mom and baby peeking out of the blanket. I am sure this worked out mainly because I am a mom myself, but if the parents and baby need their time – GIVE IT TO THEM!
3. Be creative!
We need to be creative and plan ahead in case nature calls! Have fun props that we can use to hide diapers. Also try getting back-up disposable changing pads ready for the newborns in case certain fluids come out while they are being changed from one prop to another.

At Bugs-n-Blooms you will find all of your garden themed decorations that are perfect in creating a little girls nursery or room into a beautiful garden. Here are a few steps that will help you get started in decorating your little girls nursery or bedroom:

1) Pick a theme for your girls room. It is much easier to decorate around a theme. Choose your theme from a piece of wallpaper, comforter, painting, etc. Creating the perfect garden themed room will turn her room into her own magical space.
2) Take one color from your inspiration piece to paint the walls, a light shade to paint the ceiling and a third color as an accent color for accessories. You can simply paint grass and flower stems on the base of the walls using multi shade of green and brown or paint a picket fence to add dimension and character.
3) Choose fun accessories to carry out the theme in the room. You can use our beautiful hanging daisy flowers or bugs to accent your painted creations by attaching them to the walls with small nails, double sided tape or tacks. You can also use a flower lamp or decorate your existing one with mini butterflies, or ladybugs. You may even like to use a silver gardening bucket to hold toy or an old wooden rake as a peg rack to hold play garden tools, or your child’s clothes.
4) Add the finishing touches by adding daisy flower curtain tiebacks, butterfly & dragonfly wall decor, hanging ladybugs and bees, and the perfect finishing touch to any garden themed room are the sun and the clouds that can easily be hung from the ceiling or attached to any wall.
