 Winter brings us shorter days, but you can capture the spirit of sunshine with butterfly wings in a variety of ways.
Butterfly wings can be the foundation of a number of indoor playtime activities. Your child can develop skits about butterflies, with costumes complete with tutu skirts.
You can select a number of options to give your child different choices for the butterfly costumes. Butterfly wings come in a range of colors and designs, with embellishments like crystals, glitter or gems. The tutu skirts come with a mixture of accents and design features, too.
Add accessories like tiaras and fairy wands to the costume trunk to expand your child’s imagination even more. Include costumes for other creatures, like ladybugs and bumblebees, to add a splash of bright colors, too.

 Evoking renewal and elegance, butterflies appeal to the eye. When it comes to including butterfly decor in your home, the possibilities are practically endless.

 Dress-up play can offer little girls the opportunity to make a magical transformation into a brand new character. The right outfits, accessories and toys can open up a whole new world for your child at playtime and beyond.
Tutu skirts are particularly versatile pieces of clothing for dress-up days. A girl wearing a tutu skirt can be anything from a proper princess to a graceful ballerina to a fairy queen with a collection of mini butterflies as her subjects.
While wearing a tutu skirt, your daughter can create any narrative that comes to mind. Accessories like tiaras, butterfly wings and fairy wands can make valuable additions to the dress-up wardrobe, too. Provide a variety of accessories so that your daughter has a number of options for her make-believe world.
Make sure that your child has access to toys like tea sets, dolls, stuffed animals and storybooks, which can be used with real playmates or imaginary friends.
Even the setting for your child’s play can have an effect on its quality.  Bumblebees can inspire a variety of baby shower decorations. Centerpieces of sunflowers or daisies embellished with black and yellow ribbons and miniature bumblebees work well with this theme. Of course, napkins and tablecloths printed with bumblebees are ideal, as are black and yellow plates and flatware. Hang bumblebee mobiles from the ceiling, and drape bumblebee garlands around or along the tables.
If the parents-to-be have already selected a name for the baby, use oversized alphabet stickers decorated with bumblebees to spell out that name on a wall by the gift table. Scatter mini-bumblebees and butterfly wings on the table around the cake or bake a bee-shaped cake (with a marble mix, of course!) complete with black and yellow icing. Favors can be small jars of black and yellow M&Ms.
Of course bumblebees aren’t the only insects in the garden, so they can easily be paired with other creatures, such as butterfly decorations or dragonfly decorations. Floral decorations also will blend in well, as bumblebees are nearly always seen in flower gardens or around individual flowers.
The bumblebee theme can be worked into the shower games, as well. Pass around a stuffed bumblebee as music plays, and when the music stops, the person holding the bee is eliminated. Have a “spelling bee” game where guests are asked to spell baby-related words on paper. The person who gets the most words right wins a prize.

 A fun affair to celebrate any occasion (or even no occasion at all) can be patterned after the classic children’s tale Alice in Wonderland. Host a few of your daughter’s closest friends, and let your imagination take flight in designing the quirky fête.
Alice in Wonderland can inspire an eclectic theme. Use mismatched teapots and teacups to match the Mad Hatter’s eccentricity. Don’t forget the oversized playing cards, which can be placed behind each guest’s chair.
Remember the song lyric about “bread-and-butterflies kissing the tulips”? Serve pint-sized bread loaves embellished with butterfly decorations, like mini nylon-butterflies, and bake butterfly-shaped cookies to offer for dessert. Cakes that look like mushrooms are another good addition to the menu.

You can show a DVD of an Alice in Wonderland movie if the weather won’t cooperate for outdoor activities.
You can have an “Unbirthday” any time, so if you’re looking for a reason to schedule a get-together for your little one and all of her friends, opt for an Alice in Wonderland-themed event.

 If you’re planning a baby shower and are pressed to come up with a unique theme, think about butterflies. The beautiful creatures are synonymous with new beginnings, and they are the perfect embellishments for an affair designed to prepare an expectant mom to welcome her baby into the world.
Begin by sending invitations with embossed butterflies or butterfly graphics and use butterfly stickers to seal the envelopes.  The most important aspect of a classroom is the teacher at its helm, but the physical environment has an important influence on children’s learning experiences as well. Teachers must make an effort to design a space that engages their students and gets them excited about learning.
It helps to plan a classroom’s decorations around a certain theme that, in turn, can be woven into various activities. One example of such a theme is a garden room, accessorized with butterfly wings and blossoming plants.
To transform your space into a botanical bonanza where learning grows, choose a variety of decorations of creatures, flowers and plants. Homeowners often stick to the basics, like furniture and plants, when designing their sunrooms, but those spaces have much more potential. If you’re looking for a way to bring a unique theme to your sunroom, transform it into an indoor garden complete with cute ladybug and butterfly decorations.
Sunrooms often are home to a family’s plant collection, which provides an excellent foundation for a garden design. After all, real-life butterflies, ladybugs and all sorts of other insects would be attracted to flowers in nature. Why wouldn’t their decorative counterparts be drawn to the plants in your sunroom, too?
A large nylon butterfly or butterfly mobile suspended from the ceiling can add a dramatic focal point, while mini butterflies scattered throughout the room’s plants can mimic a natural scene. You may also want to weave a butterfly garland through a large potted plant. When bringing butterflies into your sunroom, select decorations in various colors to make the room more visually interesting.
