Springtime School Room Decor

Springtime is on it's way! The sun is coming out to warm the world around us and a myriad of new life is awakening. The birds are beginning to chirp and the flowers will soon be blooming. Children will be watching beautiful butterflies that have emerged from their cocoons, flitting from bloom to bloom performing the tasks that will spread the pollen from flower to flower and bring spring into the full bloom of summer.

We celebrate the new life that blossoms every year and implores us to refocus and start anew. More than any other time of year, we can feel the hope and promise that the future holds. What better way to celebrate a new beginning than to welcome it into our spaces? From the home to the schoolroom, spring decor will bring liveliness and bliss into the atmosphere.

Schoolrooms can be turned into a wonderfully enchanting springtime garden oasis by using various types of easily applied items to invoke the feel of spring. Wonderful touches like sun and cloud wall stickers, flowers painted on the walls or applied with wall stickers, and even beautiful nylon butterflies in magical flight can make the space perfect.

Decorate your walls with butterfly or springtime alphabet wall stickers for the younger grades, to engage their imaginations while still learning the basics. The children can be involved in the decorating by helping to either decide the location of the letters or helping to place the decor for a feeling of accomplishment in creating such blissful elegance.

In the study of springtime happenings, butterflies are perfect. Butterflies are great way to introduce several science lessons, a variety of art projects and even field trips. From simple sparkling wings, to enchanting and brightly colored jewels adorning the wings, you can find a variety of beautiful, elegant and graceful nylon butterflies to use in your classroom. They simply add a magical  and enchanting feel. The children can each make their own nylon butterflies and add them to the decor of the room. Mixing them in with nylon butterflies you've purchased and attaching them to clear fishing line stretched across the room invites ownership from the children as they have assisted and personalized the room.

Bringing spring into the classroom through topic selection and decor, especially with a butterfly theme, will literally transform your learning environment into a fairytale world that that captures young imaginations. Activating the imagination will bring more focus and enhance the learning experience. Children respond to this environment and will learn more freely, as well as remaining happy and enjoying their classroom atmosphere.

Butterfly Decor for Formal Occasions

For those of us with a love of butterflies and garden decor, the perfect time of year is approaching! The imminent arrival of spring energizes the air with happy thoughts of shedding our jackets and starting the spring rituals: opening the windows to feel the fresh air and the planning special events, anticipating the warmth and sunshine, invoking the desire for all things lovely and fresh.
Spring is the perfect time of year to plan bridal showers and receptions, and, of course, celebrations for the graduate in your life. Whether you are planning to have these celebrations indoors or outdoors, a garden theme or celebration of spring is in order. Using butterflies in your decor will bring these to life. How perfect for the butterfly lover in us all!
For bridal showers and receptions, you can make beautiful centerpieces and attach bejeweled nylon butterflies to the side of a vase. You can also make a nice water feature by filling vases or bowls with water, adding colorful marbles on the bottom, and a beautiful butterfly landing onto the edge of the bowl. Any attendee will love receiving one of these gorgeous signs of spring as part of a door prize arrangement or as a gift for the many games we play.
Any arches or flower decor can instantly achieve another level of elegance and fantasy by slipping in an occasional butterfly in among the petals or wired to the arch. Butterfly decor touches the imagination and allows the mind to achieve sublime enjoyment of your festivities. There are many ways to implement butterflies into your wall decor, from wall stickers to flowered displays, where butterflies are float from one delicate bloom to another.
Your high school or college graduate will be delighted to see her favorite butterfly theme added to her graduation celebration. For an outdoor celebration, attach some clear or sparkled wiring (at a safe height) between trees and allow beautiful, magical butterflies to enhance your garden celebrations. Even in evening, the lighted array of colors sparkling through the night will delight your guests.

Wedding Decorating Ideas - Table Centerpieces

Creating A Wedding Centerpiece is Easy! Here's How:

1. Start by selecting an attractive clear glass container for the centerpiece. Here, an elevated bowel on a glass pedestal was used, but feel free to use a more standard style of bowl for equally lovely effects.
2. Fill the container with fresh water.
3. Select your floating candles.
4. Place the floating candles in the water. To mimic the look in the photo, crowd the candles in the container - for this particular container, four candles was about all it could hold, and we crammed them in! If you prefer a different look, use fewer candles.
5. It's the rose petals that really cap off the look in this particular centerpiece design and give it that super-romantic, super-soft visual effect. Just place the petals on water and around the candles, and be sure to also sprinkle them on the table, around the centerpiece to finish that wonderful setting!

Butterflies flutter and float gracefully atop a pretty bowl of water in this mesmerizing table centerpiece design - More of the magic which can be created simply with the use of floating candles! Use the butterfly candles on their own, or combine with floral floating candles to create additional interest within the design. Consider combining with floating candles, a perfect compliment to the look with their delicate petals.  Perhaps the most popular variety of orchid, and is known as the 'butterfly orchid" because its delicate petals resemble the wing of a butterfly, unfolding in velvety color.

Bowls of flowers and floating candles make a very pretty presentation for table centerpieces, and have the added benefit of being extremely easy to assemble. Pictured above, pastel colors set the perfect tone for a spring wedding. A large silk floral bloom is immersed in an elegant clear glass bowl. In keeping with the floral theme, four floating rose-shaped candles in a combination of pastel colors float on the surface of the water. The arrangement is placed on the center of the table atop a table runner in coordinating pastel mauve. To add to the look, small flower pots of votive candles surrounded by pastel roses are placed in alternating positions along the center of the rectangular table, on both sides of the floating candle display. For a final finishing touch, faux rose petals are scattered delicately around the table.

Butterfly Releases for Weddings

Planning a wedding, whether it involves 50 people or 500 people, can be a stressful time. You want your guests to remember your wedding as a day filled with happiness and enchantment.
One unique effect can be achieved through a live butterfly release.  As a beautiful and environmentally-sound alternative to blowing bubbles, throwing rice or birdseed or releasing balloons, a butterfly release will make your day memorable!  Can you imagine the magnificence of dozens of colorful butterflies winging their way skyward as a grand finale to your wedding ceremony?  The release of nature’s prettiest creatures is a symbolic way to celebrate any number of occasions, including weddings, proms, parties, and quinceneras.  Butterflies have always been thought of as bringing good luck to people and everyone loves butterflies.

One way to involve your guests is to have a “butterfly attendant” hand out the envelopes in which the butterflies are temporarily kept.  When the signal is given, each person opens their envelopes and the butterflies fly out to create a magnificent display.  Some butterflies, especially monarchs, may alight on your guests.  When released, they have a slow and graceful flight.  They are actually “social butterflies!”
On a smaller scale, butterflies can be used as table centerpieces, enclosed in elegant see-through “cages” where they flutter about until time for their release. Guests are always enchanted by this distinctive and unusual display of beauty.
Butterflies are carefully raised by farmers, who then package them in small Styrofoam coolers before shipping them overnight to your door.  Since they are cold-blooded, they are resting and dormant while in the cooler.  Exposure to warm temperatures will make them active and ready to fly.  They must be released outdoors during daylight and during months where the temperatures are high enough for them to fly ~ above 60 degrees.  Care of the butterflies is minimal; you just keep the container cool for a night by refreezing and replacing the cold pack that comes with each shipment.  Very few butterflies expire before their release and usually one or more “extras” are included in your order.  Most butterfly farmers hold permits to ship several species across state lines. The butterflies you release will be indigenous to your state and will most probably live for a few weeks, finding each other after they are released, mating and helping to repopulate the species.
A butterfly farmer will help you choose the butterflies that are right for your state, your budget and your special occasion.

Have A Butterfly Wedding Theme

A Butterfly Wedding Theme
The first consideration when you are thinking about having a butterfly wedding where you will be releasing hundreds or thousands of butterflies is to do a complete butterfly theme for the wedding. This is where people get into trouble. Overdoing the theme where everything is "butterfly" oriented becomes tacky very quickly. This is why, even though a butterfly theme can form the foundation of a truly wonderful wedding, it's very important to keep the theme very low key.
When you are planning to release butterflies, that is often enough so that butterfly images aren't really needed on things like napkins of table cloth. By simply complimenting the "thought" of butterflies with things like wedding colors that compliment the species of butterflies that you purchased, or flowers throughout, guests will quickly recognize the theme and will appreciate the taste and style with which it was accomplished.
Always pick your flower arrangements to compliment the colors of the butterflies you've selected. It is easy to obtain pictures of online, even from the breeder where you order for release. Make sure the bridesmaid's dresses are complimentary. The groom and groomsmen will almost always be complimentary, because most butterfly wings have black in them.
Also, have your wedding in a location that makes sense to release butterflies. Either a butterfly garden, or any outdoor wedding would make a beautiful ceremony that is centered upon the beautiful transformation and release to the freedom and independence represented by the butterfly. Also make sure that the photographers for your wedding are aware that you're going to be doing a butterfly release. They will surely want to prepare their cameras for the unique photo opportunities such an event provides.

Butterfly Baby Shower Favor Decorations

Butterfly Decorations
As beautiful as gel candles are, they are not as popular as wax candles. In the baby showers where the favors are gel candles people are amazed at how beautiful they are and yet they don't see many of them around. Under different lighting the gel candles can take on an appearance of a celestial water paradise. In the sun the appearance turns in an aqua bubbling world of beauty.

Beautiful Butterfly Candle Decorations

When creating the candle favors one can control the amount of bubbles desired by the temperature to which you heat the gel. This baby shower candle was created for a mom-to-be that had a passion for butterflies. Everything at the baby shower was butterfly related and most of the baby gifts all had butterfly theme.

Butterfly Weddings - Creative Wedding Ideas With Butterflies

A wedding is a special time in every woman's life. She dreams about her big wedding day ever since she was a little girl. When you were little, you remember on a bright spring day you would see a beautiful butterfly flying around and you would sit and day dream about your future and what it will bring. There is simply something magical about seeing a beautiful butterfly fluttering before you. We choose to believe that a butterfly signifies good luck. So if you are sentimental and perhaps a tad superstitious (and goodness knows most brides are) we recommend incorporating the butterfly into your wedding theme. And whether or not a butterfly can bring you good luck and marital bliss is still up in the air, but it certainly can't hurt! When you think of butterflies, most people automatically think of warm weather and fragrant flowers. What better way to celebrate a spring or summer affair than with beautiful butterfly invitations, wedding favors, bridal bouquets, table settings, cake servers, wedding invitations, wedding cake or even have a live butterfly release when you are named 'man and wife'. Butterflies symbolize the beginning of new life, and you can carry that theme through your event. Create that special day that you will treasure for a lifetime.
